Jon Hempstead is a renowned post-production retouching team and studio known for working with luxury fashion brands, high-profile publications and photographic artists.

Originally based in central London as Jon Hempstead retouching, which morphed into Hempstead May, a creative post-production studio located in London and New York. We established a strong reputation with skills in retouching and colour work, re-enforced by working alongside the Legendary hand printers from Brian Dowling’s BDI labs.

Our team’s knowledge of film scanning, Platnum printing. retouching techniques, colour and BW printing, digital to analogue skills are sought by some of the most prominent Photographers in art, fashion and advertising.

Located in the South-West of England since 2020, we run a studio under Jon Hempstead with a small and highly experienced team, we collaborate with printing facilities located in London, Paris and New York.
